Hey all,
Just checked out The Bourne Legacy last night. I am a huge fan of the Bourne series. However, this movie does not even deserve to be a part of the lineup! We wasted $24.00 ($12 pp) to see this garbage. It took forever for the movie to get going and it never really "took off". I almost fell asleep several times during the movie. The supposed chase scenes even sucked. I tried to give this movie a chance despite not wanting to see it originally (since Matt Damon was not in it). However, I still went to see it because I liked the earlier movies.
One of my main issues is the obvious: Matt Damon was not in it. Jeremy Renner played the main character. He was not in Damon's league and the fact that he was cast for this role was a huge mistake. While I cannot deny that he is okay as an actor, this was not one of his shining roles. Another issue was the fact that there wasn't much that tied this movie into the earlier movies. There were huge holes in the "storyline". honestly, the script was so bad that it almost seemed like it was improv. Nothing in the movie made any sense. They introduced concepts, characters, and elements that had nothing to do with the first three movies. The "plot" was horrible and every section of it led to a dead end. I should have demanded my money back but I was too sleepy to get up.
The bottom line: don't waste your money. Honestly, if this comes on cable even if it is free I will never watch this again. I wasted $24.00 and two hours of my life watching this train wreck!

My Nook Review
Hey,
This is the review for the Nook 3G+Wifi. This is the older version of the Nook Color. It has some advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages are:
Lots of storage for books
3G function (which is free)- I do not know how this is possible but I have never paid for a connection. The newer versions do not offer 3G (not even the Kindle Fire)
Matte screen- This allows me to read outside in the sun with little to no glare
Super long battery life
Mp3 player
The disadvantages are:
Heavier than newer versions
Only the bottom 1/4th of the unit is touch screen as opposed to the newer ones, which are fully touch-screen.
Due to the E-Ink feature, it sometimes lags
While it does have the internet (difficult to navigate on this version due to limited touch-screen function), it does not have tablet capabilities like the Nook Color
The disadvantage to both:
There are STRICT limitations on book lending! You cannot lend a book to a person for more than 14 days. Also, once you lend any book..you can never lend it again..EVER!! This goes for all Nooks and Kindles!
Conclusion
While the Nook 3G +Wifi is older and slightly bulky, it can still rival the the newer versions IF all you want it a reader. That is what these things were created for anyway..not to be tablets. I am not giving mine up until they: 1. figure out how to make colored matte screen while maintaining the touch functionality 2. include 3G capabilities in the newer versions (I am sure that it will not be free due to heavier demands on bandwidth but it still needs to be capable of utilizing 3G without having to buy a separate device. I am not giving up the freedom to download books and magazines from anywhere even where there is no Wifi.
As far as the book-lending issues, they suck! If I had a real book, I could lend it to whomever, whenever, and for however long i wanted too..even give it away! This folks..is why E-readers will NEVER replace the printed word entirely..yes you heard it here! Unfortunately, I cannot give this a bad review solely based on that fact because ALL e-readers have the same limitations. I heard that they are no longer selling these in stores but I am sure that you can get them online for a great price. i would recommend it if you only want to read books and perhaps listen to some tunes while doing so. All and all..it is a great buy!

My Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Review
Boy I wish I had better things to say about this one.
For a long time, I have been a COD fan. I was with them with every release between Treyarch and Infinity Ward. To be honest, I have always been a bit partial to Infinity Ward. I believe that the games have better execution, layout, and overall design and likability.
Some of my favorites include: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2. I only liked one map in Black Ops for the most part and that was Nuketown. While I have all of the titles, only Infinity Ward's titles really did it for me..until Modern Warfare 3 came along. I mean..what were they thinking? Infinity Ward has taken a step back with this one. There are just a bunch of dark maps with tons of rubble and debris. The reason I usually place this company above Treyarch is because the maps have a brighter look to them. i mean, i know it's war..but come on! What happened to the signature maps that put you on the map?
As I stated in my Youtube blog, these maps seem to me to be nothing but expansion packs of the maps in MW2. If you were just going to expand the maps, why wouldn't you just do another map pack release instead of making myself and other consumers pay $60.00 for a brand new game? We know that this is not a brand new game and the fact that you are passing it off as such AND charging the same prices is highly insulting!
The only major differences are: the tag collection map mode (where you have to collect the tags of the person you killed or you will not get the points, and vice versa), it now takes at least two grenades to shoot an areal vehicle down, and it is not as easy to stab an enemy anymore.
Please correct me if I am wrong but the consumers deserve better. Even if you have some people fooled, you are not fooling me and this was a complete waste of money.
To my readers: Leave this one alone. It is not worth it. Unless you have Gamefly, I would leave this one on the shelf and go back to MW2. I hope you enjoyed my review. More to come soon!
Feel free to comment!
